Located about 90 minutes outside of Boise via Highway 21 and Idaho City, Idaho Wilderness Yurts is not your average adventure. During the snowy season Crooked River Road closes to automobile traffic and the yurts can be accessed via snowshoeing, skiing, and snowmobiling. From the Whoop-Um-Up Park N’ Ski parking lot, guests travel an easy 3.3 miles on an intermittently-groomed trail to the yurts. The route starts at the entrance of the parking lot and is marked until you reach the closed road, where you head east for the last stretch of your journey, soon spotting the yurts ahead.
During the warm season (May thru November) the yurts are drive-up accessible, so the relaxation starts when you set your parking brake.

Your stay at the yurts includes:
-
A spacious 27’ yurt that sleeps up to 8 guests with two queen beds, two twin beds, and a leather couch with dual recliners
-
Custom-designed amenities, including: wood stove heating, indoor toilet, solar power, a fully equipped dry kitchen with refrigerator, games, and books
-
An opportunity to experience the 2,000 year-old Finnish tradition of deep relaxation in a wood-fired sauna
-
Given their remote location our yurts are guest-cleaned, so you are expected to clean up after yourself so the next guests can also have a great experience.
What to Pack:
-
Snowshoes, skis or snowmobile
-
Sleeping bag (no bedding is provided)
-
Water (or plan to boil snow/river water)
