Idaho Wilderness Yurts offers nightly backcountry yurt rentals, and is an experience that has been curated to appeal to the most avid adventurer while also being accessible to the average family with kids bundled up and towed in a pulk. From the orientation of the sauna overlooking the river, to the toilet located inside each warmed yurt, and the gravity fed faucet - every detail has been thoroughly considered to help create a comfortable and luxurious experience in a location that is completely off-grid, gets over 10 feet of snow a year, and is 3 miles from the nearest automobile in the winter.

The yurts are open year-round, and each season offers unique opportunities for relaxation, rejuvenation, and adventure:

Spring brings a surge of runoff to the Crooked River and new life to the meadow. Wildflowers abound, and the snow melts from rocky trails that are hungry for fresh tracks.

In summer, a refreshing mist settles in the valley each morning and keeps the yurts cool all day despite the warm, afternoon sun. The river beckons bathers and fly fishermen alike, with miles of open shoreline both upstream and downstream from camp.

When autumn falls, you can feel a new level of excitement in the air as hunting season approaches. Deer, elk, and even moose can be seen from camp, and the crisp morning air invites you to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee by the wood stove or on the deck while gazing onto the hills beyond.

Winter activities include relaxing in the sauna, sledding, backcountry skiing, and exploring hundreds of miles of wilderness via snowmobile. Skip the hassle of driving on icy roads each day - hoping parking will be available at your favorite powder stash - and simply wake up ready for adventure, right out of your front door.
